Hi all, can some please explain the difference between the standard And premium series 60 12.7 Detroit engines, I'm aware of the steel skirt piston. Also ? For example - are all factory 500hp engines premium engines?

Not all 500hp engines were premium -PK and BK are premium 12.7 with different rods , crankshaft , pistons and piston coolers

people say premium is more durable. really output is the calibration issue.

BTW, 12.7 made before 2001 are all Euro-II, newer and 14 L are Euro-III
