Eugene Koffi,
Any truck owner here will back me up on this.... I wouldnt let any truck I own even SIT with another's company name on it for $22.00 a day!!!!!
BAD BAD, CARRIER whom ever offered you that... It's an insult to our lively hood. You should be contacting LOCAL companies where you live, and yes be honest and up front about the things you've stated.
It's VERY possible your truck can be making ( IF ) you own it out right around $9,000 per month. GROSS.
After you take FUEL and drivers pay and ( PM $200 ) Always set aside PM moneys. Just in CASE.....
You should at least NET around $3,500 to 4 PM.
And thats working with a good LOCAL carrier.
Wish you luck,
Matthew

I agree, $22 is totally insane. I would have had a hard time not punching someone that offered me that.
-
Yeah thats what we thought , we thought that was way too low. . we'll keep looking for a Carrier local here.
-
what i cant understand is i've contacted many local carriers already .. none have responded.
-
Where is it your truck is running out of?
What STATE is its HOME? -
PM means per mile P/mo means per month.
-
-
its located in Washington state , just south of Seattle
we have no Authority to run it .. we just own it. -

IF you own your truck, free and CLEAR you can afford to let a few Dollars go by... But if the bank owns it... You need to get every dime that rig's worth.
And Anyone here will back me telling you it's WORTH at LEASTE $2.25 PER MILE with your own authority. Even with the truck LEASES to a Company I wouldnt let it ROLL for less than $1.50
Can I say, also try FEDEX Custom Critical?
You may have to LEASE a trailer but I've heard nothing but Good about this company. I myself dont want the OTR freight. Our trucks run 300 MILES out.
I am (GOD) blessed to have 2 very good people helping me... and the wife and myself count on em daily. They are our drivers...
I want to point out to you... IF you hire a driver... TRY finding a retired or past owner op. THEY most likely will respect your equipment.....
But JOE was right, DRIVERS Abuse truck... Abandon then and you name it...
I've hear all the stuff.... Under the sun...
Good luck, Hope this helps....
