Hi, Im a newbie driver and only 3 wks ago i started to do a container job. I was told by other guys i need to be careful when full container is taken off by crane because the air bags can burst when the weight is taken off.
Could U plz tell what else should be taken into account, i mean, well, is it even true? if so starting from what weight there is a danger to bags burst? Is it only when container is taken off? (not while loaded on?)
Any other advice or info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's hard on the bags and shocks. Dump your suspension before you unload.

It’s hard on the shock bushings .
If you do it a lot you can install limiting straps to stop the uptravel just before the shocks top out .
I don’t see it as any different than pulling out from under a loaded trailer .
And they made millions of trucks with no dump valve.
I owned three rigs with airbags and no dump valve .

I dump my bags before I pull out from under my trailer. If you can't dump your suspension, I guess you're just SOL.

    Mototom Thanks this.
