    Hi all,

We recently got authority. We are 18 months on provision. Within this time someone will notify us of the safety audit to be conducted.
I want to ask operators what did you forget to include that was brought to attention. Did you get any violations and what for. Instead of going through the list that is most familiar I want to check of other things that I might still be missing.

Somewhere on the web is a list of what they ask for.
The person who did mine only asked for- logs, copy of DL, maintenance records, proof of enrollment in drug consortium, mcs-90, fuel receipts, pre employment drug test, medical certificate, mvr, annual inspection, accident register.

Great list. Maybe add proof on insurance. Also, get a fresh DOT or have a trusted mechanic do a close and real inspection on your truck. The trooper crawled under mine and and told me to hit the brakes to check for air leaks. He then proceeded to threaten to put me out of service for residue on the fuel tanks due to a leaking cap. So, also get your rig a very thorough cleaning. Engine, frame, tanks, under the truck, the body of course.

Most states have gone to online audits. Everything on mine was done by email, then he called to say that I passed.

My auditor sent me an email listing everything they needed to see. He came to my house and went over all of the info and said that there were no problems.

If you mean your initial audit it all depends. Most are backlogged so they won't ding you if you missed something minor and it was their fault for not getting to you for a year. It took my state a year or more to call me. They guy (trooper) was completely cool. He gave me some pointers but if you've read on here much you probably have your bases covered. If you don't you would've gotten pulled in to a scale and asked by now.

Wow, that’s nice but kinda lame at the same time. I went from intrastate to interstate in 2011 I believe and they audited in 2012. It did take them a year to come out so maybe they can check all this stuff quicker online and then assume you’ll get pulled in for an inspection. It was intimidating having a trooper come out but made me have my stuff together and take it serious. Overall, he was really cool.

Be sure you have a drivers app. just like when you get a new drivers job with the letter or e/mail asking all the co. you drove for in the last 10 years for your dates you worked, its funny to get back the info from your old jobs just to see what they say about your on time del. and torn out drive/shafts in snow and all the other things you did long ago?
