Sage Cafe, Caldwell, Idaho

i was a regular at Denny's in Caldwell. Not far from our yard there, one stop shop at the J. Until tonight. I sat at the booth for 20 minutes and was ignored. I threw the menu at the woman who sat me and told her to kiss my ###. No reason to be ignored like that. So I drive across the bridge and try out the Sage Cafe, a place I avoided because it just looks crappy. I'm so sorry I did

After I sat down, one minute later a server brought me a menu and a glass of water and took my drink order. Then came back for my order.
I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye, with a salad (included), Texas toast ( included) and all you can eat shrimp for $3 extra. What came to my table was a juicy steak, corn, a nice sized salad, two pieces of Texas toast and a plate of shrimp and mashed potatoes. That's a lot of grub. And it was all delicious. Even the shrimp, which usually suck, were mighty tasty. No problem on getting a refill on my drink OR the 2nd plate of shrimp which I had no room for. It all came to $22.51. The steak dinner itself was a very attractive $14.

I gotta say, the little Sage Cafe in Caldwell, Idaho is worth the stop and the dirt lot. A ton of parking in this place too. If you stop at the Sage, bring your appetite. Pleasantly surprised and they've gained a new regular.
