Oh yeah my one year anniversary was Thursday. And after bugging everyone i could on the qualcomm and also headed to trenton. i got my truck turned up to the blazing speed of 66. Of course i couldnt even use my new speed until i hit I70. Then it was on. I was passing everyone that i came up on. It was amazing. I felt like a real trucker. But then again with great speed comes great responsibility. I now have to watch myself in 55 zones and other lower speed areas. before i could technically get away with 62 in some areas but at 66 it would = ticket. I do like the fact that i can now make it from trenton to streator and back on one clock. before i would be short on time. I cant tell you how much 4 mph makes a difference.

Overall it has been a great year. I was with my trainer for longer than usual due to vacations and him being from New York and me Ohio. Then i had failed my first attempt at my cdl. I finally got it and i believe i got my own truck around July 4th. i started out OTR which was fun while it lasted. But then I decided to go Regional for a few reasons, my wife hated me being gone for weeks, needed to get the house ready to sell, had a couple sick dogs that eventually passed. I sometimes miss OTR for the new places and not really knowing where you were headed next. But i also now like knowing where i may be headed and different ways to get there. Plus knowing how far you can go and still find somewhere to park is a plus. So i have no real complaints. My truck has only been down once for a wiring problem. and i have only had 2 minor incidents. i dented my passenger step and my trailer slid off into a ditch durring winter. But no damage to it or my load. Just a nice tow bill. Other than that i get my truck serviced while i am at home on the weekends so it really never hurts my running.

i am looking forward to many more miles with Millis. I love this company and most everyone i have met. I helped out a new guy on monday and i try to chat with anyone that asks me. So if ya see me just say hey.

    MTownZ and Cooper09 Thank this.

When I read the thread title, first thing I thought of was the scene in Spaceballs.

"They went to plaid!" Or something like that, been a while since I've seen the movie. Congrats, and don't overshoot your deliveries. :)
