Sand Hauling

The advice I would give you that if you have the trucks set up to haul sand is to try to get on hauling material for a concrete company if you can. If its anything like it is where Im at its pretty hard to get on with a concrete company because those who are already on with them do not want to let outside trucks in, but if they do let you haul for them they are going to charge you X amount a ton to haul under them. A good choice may be to find a smaller concrete company to haul for because they might not have a primary hauler already in there so you wouldnt have to pay someone else to haul for them. If that doesnt work you could try Lafarge they are a very large company that you could haul for but I can promise you someone already had the primary contract from them so you'd be paying someone to haul under them but the bright side of it is that Lafarge would be able to keep you rolling more then a smaller company.

 

I have friends that are with sandpro, but after reading your post im kinda hesitant to purchase a semi and trailer. Has it really been that slow, where you wouldnt recommend getting in this type of business?
