Saw my first sand can from Florida today, Riviera Beach. I don't know who they're hauling for, Frac Tech possibly up near Brownlee trucking in West Middletown, either way there's a bunch of new faces up here from the flatlands of this country, this winter might be interesting!

What a show it will be! florida, texas drivers, and newbies, OMG, this winter is gonna be a daisy!!!! Lol

Is any one looking for owner operators up there? Was born and raised in Bellaire Ohio area. Started my trucking in that part of the country. I'm leased to a company in Texas right now. But would loe to get back in that area. I got my own wagon.
Thanks -
Bruce Oakley takes on O/O's and maybe RAM transit out of saxonburg, maybe.
-
Thanks for info. Wont work for Oakley, plus I have my own trailer. Talked to RAM before and they weren't hiring at the time.
-
Sorry Mark, RAM & Oakley have alot of the work sucked up around here.
mark2842 Thanks this. -
That's OK. I know people who work for Oakley and people who used to work for Oakley. And haven't heard anything good about them. Especially in frac sand hauling. Heard good about RAM but not looking for anyone right now.

Just like TX. Everyone who has a pneumatic is here. Trucks from SC, AR, TN, LA and many more. Guys from TX will do just fine in snow. Drove in Philly lot of times and was amazed at how poorly Yankees are at driving in snow. Never close enough to town to have food delivered. But we have 379 with frig and microwave. Always have plenty to eat on truck. $15 hr is about going rate for detention. Watch D & T. They are low balling cut throats. Pretty much out of TX. Cut rates to less then$3 from over $4. Got run off most jobs as drivers didn't like $10 detention and .70 a mile vs $15 and $1.06 . Left rigs high and dry. They won't tolerate that sheat. Schnieder is not much better. Have been trying to worm in. Trucks with no sleepers so they are screwed when delays between staging. And newbie drivers who like to smart off to lead drivers and other foreman have cost them dearly.
