I am in a similar situation. I am currently working with a SAP and hopefully will be able to return to duty soon. I am in Aurora Colorado, what companies are willing to hire me with a single positive test for marijuana? I have 2 years of driving.

I’m in a similar situation. I am currently working with an SAP and hope to return to duty soon. I live in Aurora Colorado and was wondering if anyone knows of any companies willing to work with a driver with a failed test for marijuana and 2 years of driving.

First off your hirable after the SAP person returns you to duty. Know this however. Your going to be subject to enhanced drug testing over the next few months after. Its just part of the process. There are carriers that flatly refuse to hire drivers with recent positives. However some are getting a bit easier on just THC positives. Just stop smoking the bong. You should find somebody that will hire you. Once a year or 2 passes by more carriers will talk to you. However I cant say it enough. Stop smoking the bong!!!!!

I wonder how many abandoned "* driver's wife" accounts there are.
dunchues Thanks this. -
Try staffing agencies and temp services that place cdl drivers such as ProDrivers..
ProDrivers
OTR A Driver CDL
Aurora, CO -
Don't know about their accounts. However I have had numerous wife's to contact me over the last several years asking questions or asking me for a phone number to somebody that can answer. This drug/SAP thing is confusing for a lot of people. At least it is not somebody asking about who does hair testing or a way to get around a drug test.

Try some "second chance" companies:
Western Express
TransAm
Navajo Express
USA Truck
Senn Freight Lines
Roadtex Transportation
Do the online apps before calling. It looks better and improves your chances if you already have an application on file when you call and say, "I'm checking on my job application." -
Yeah, I understand from reading the regulations I am subject to a minimum of 6 tests for the next 12 months. Either way I can no longer smoke and that’s fine, this mistake has cost me more than I care to mention. The problem is going to be finding a company willing to hire me with this on my DAC and it being so recent. ProDrivers is a good idea, the pay is not great but they can probably keep me driving until I can get hired by a major carrier and keep me in town. I was working with a LTL so I could avoid going OTR. The “second chance” companies will probably want to send me OTR, but maybe I can get some line haul work from them. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
