Substance Abuse Program?

 

Wow. 16 years driving here and I was clueless also.

 

A lot of people like to gang up on me, and act like if I don't know something when I say I have ten years of experience, that means that I am lying about how much experience I have.

I have never had a substance abuse problem as a truck driver. So I didn't know that SAP stands for substance abuse program.

 

Don't even worry about it. It's actually a good thing that you don't know about it. The forum is designed to educate everyone, yet there are some fools on here that like to boost their egos by criticizing ignorance on a topic. You asked to find out, and I often tell inexperienced drivers that there is no such thing as dumb question. The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.

 

Did your carrier make you sign up for the drug clearing house ?

 

3 violations that I’m fighting. 2 refusal (not enough urine )and a positive that was added to clearinghouse 14 days after test date! I’m RTD

My first year of driving my company told me about sap. Give the tester a hard time...fail. Sap. You pay out of your own pocket. Drivers need to pay attention in orientation when they talk about this stuff instead of playing on their phone.

 

If you don’t mind, could you please give more details about this? Was all of this at the same time or different times? Did you do the SAP multiple times or what? Are you working?
