The only thing you can really do is keep applying for a job. It might take a 100 no's before you will get a yes.

ya thats what i,ve been doing but it gets fustrating can inshurance companys do this
-
Yep, they sure can. That is why you protect your CDL. There are many companies that will ban you for life for one drug violation, including mine.

no offense AUTOCAR and thats of course your right...however...whats the point of a driver doing SAP if he cant get a job again....and what...if someone uses they are always a user/addict?? thats no really fair IMO...this isnt directed specifically at you...i am just saying in general....
to the OP, good luck..and stay clean....LaBubba Thanks this. -
it is a well known fact truck drivers are subject to drug testing, if you fail a drug test you screwed up big time. it is not as if they announced last week drug testing was in effect.
it may very well be a an absolute female dog to get rehired again to drive a truck, and it dang should be.
and the truth is an addict that quits drug is a addict in recovery for the rest of his life, just as an alcoholic thats quits drinking is always a recovering alcoholic.
and i got that straight from a recovering addict and a recovering alcoholic. i was the guy who hired them and kept them on so tight of a lease they dang near choked, they both still drive today , and are stll recovering.
and i also have a who has had problems like this and clean and sober for a while now, but i still get calls when he is fighting off the demon.
and giggles fair aint got nothing to do with it.CAXPT Thanks this. -
i understand what you are saying...i am just saying...they shoudnt tell them they can go thru SAP and all is forgiven if its not...i agree that alcohol/drugs..do NOT belong in trucking....
CAXPT Thanks this.
