    Yup - important difference there depending on the driver's "wants."

    DirecTV = no mobile HD
    Dish Network = no NFL Sunday Ticket option

    I guess its good that I'm not a sports fanatic.

    I've been spoiled with 1080P HD pretty much ever since it was first available. Kind of like an audiophile or high speed internet... once you experience it.. there really is no going back.

    True that. I changed to a 1440p 27" computer monitor a year ago and have the same type of feeling about that now.

    I have installed hundreds of TV setups in trucks at this point. The HD resolution definitely makes a larger difference on the larger screens than it does on say, an 18" screen. In fact it gets down right fuzzy on screens in the 32" - 42" range without HD. But yeah, it is crisper across the whole range to varying degrees.

    You're right about sports (at least NFL anyway) because that is a huge modulating factor for the drivers deciding between Dish and DirecTV.

    I've got a good friend of mine. We've been meeting up and racing our cars for better part of 14 - 15 yrs now. As much as he loves that,.. dont call,.. dont ask anything when he's in his sports zone. Worse,.. he is into baseball, basketball and football. Total sports junkie.

    I like to watch some auto racing from time to time. But I dont lose sleep if I miss a race.
