I've been spoiled with 1080P HD pretty much ever since it was first available. Kind of like an audiophile or high speed internet... once you experience it.. there really is no going back.

I have installed hundreds of TV setups in trucks at this point. The HD resolution definitely makes a larger difference on the larger screens than it does on say, an 18" screen. In fact it gets down right fuzzy on screens in the 32" - 42" range without HD. But yeah, it is crisper across the whole range to varying degrees.
You're right about sports (at least NFL anyway) because that is a huge modulating factor for the drivers deciding between Dish and DirecTV.V c2c Thanks this. -
I like to watch some auto racing from time to time. But I dont lose sleep if I miss a race.
