Your point is very valid as well lol. I guess I should have said that some people I have spoken with are happy working there. I for one would not want to work there, but to each their own :)

    What part about....

Do you folks don't understand? If he applied at Werner. Then I would say that it is obvious that he applied at Swift, FFE, JB, Pumpkins, & all the others.

Like I said, if he is serious about entering the industry. He needs to take what ever he can get to get the experience. Then after several years experience like most of us have, then he can be pickier about his carrier selections. Right now he isn't in the position to pick & choose.

That's right Redd, anybody wanting to start right now better be glad if any takes them with no experience. Sameguy if you want to truck then suck it up and do your time with Werner and then move on after you have some experience.

Every where doesn't mean FFE, Swift, he needs to be a bit more specific.. Heck for all we know he could have meant Wal-Mart, KMart McDonald's LOL...

Hey Everyone, thank you for the advice. PAM called me and offered me a spot and from what I've read here they are the lesser of the two evils, pay a little better and have a shorter training period. (recruiter said I could pick between team and solo, team getting home more often and pay a little better) I can't tell you all how valuable this forum and your advice is to someone just starting out. I may be making a mistake getting into trucking right now, but at least I'll be going in with full knowledge of what i'm getting myself into.

With you living in Texas you should call KLLM. That's who i drive for. We just got a big account with pilgrims pride doing alot of dedicated stuff around Dallas so i heard. You being a new driver you will have to do the whole training thing then otr for 90 days but then you may be able to get on that dedicated account. Good home time. Call Martha in recruiting and talk to her about it. 1-800-925-1000
