I'm probably going to plumb the front brakes in with a manual limiting valve. The valve should cut braking power up front by about 50% so the front end won't be as likely to lock up on wet roads (def not driving this truck in winter lol)

Maybe look into a Benix LQ-2 limiting quick release valve. They are good for slick roads and still give 100% on panic stops. I believe they have three different levels of pressure regulation and I went with the one that limits pressure the most. That worked well for me in the past and no one had to wonder if or try to remember to switch the steer axle air switch when someone pulled out in front of them.
It would look cool with a Western Hauler style bed and a single axle would still have good resale valve.

I'll keep that in mind. I didn't know they made those valves with automatic porportioning.

Shot in the dark but I don't suppose anyone has some photos of front cab mounts on an air ride cab? I looked at a couple trucks at work the other day to see how they were set up. The Peterbilt 367 has just regular rubber cab mounts up front like mine, the Western Star has a hinge type setup and the CAT had way too much crap in the way to actually see the front cab mounts. Been thinking about converting my cab to air ride since its all apart.

Back at it again today. Got tired of playing with the torch so I'm continuing with gutting the cab. I'm finding some pretty interesting fixes for wiring such as this foil from a cigarette package used to help ground the pyro :biggrin_25523: 20160408_140903.jpg

Yuk! What a mess! I'm amazed the 2 hours total time I had this truck running didn't reduce it to ashes. I've counted at least a dozen of those cheap scotch lock connectors and a bunch of terminated wires. Thinking I'm probably going to upgrade the wiring while I'm here since I'm pretty sure the cab and chassis wiring harnesses have been out of production for at least a decade or 2.

I was looking at Painless but this setup looks a little nicer. Just think of all the chicken lights I can wire up with 24 available circuits.

I think this is it for today. Only crappy thing is I'm going to have to build new dash panels. The previous owners have butchered up the dash pretty good for extra switches and such.
