I was thinking you guys didn't have that problem up there. So much for wishful thinking.

Layin' Low in San Antone. I went and got a Real Estate license and Kenny went on being a truck.

They're horrible up here.

I think that frame will be a touch long for a single drive axle. You sure you want to do that?
I would not be any good if I did not ask you this honest question to make you think about how long your drive shaft is going to be and where your 5th wheel will need to go.
On the other hand that long frame might actually be good for a sleeper to go on behind the cab perhaps? I know those day cabs are awesome, but if you happen to be caught out on a long, long day and need a nap, throwing a bench across the seats don't really do it these days.AModelCat Thanks this. -
I played around with some photos and photoshop to try and get a picture of how it would look at different lengths. I can always trim a little bit of length off the back if I decide I want it a little shorter. Its a hobby truck now. Its definitely going to get a 2" receiver hitch at the back and I'm still debating about a full size fifth wheel or a 30k lb RV fifth wheel. I love the look of RGN ramps so I may just fab up a set for it.

Put a 30K RV wheel on it. It goes without saying be aware of your frame interfering with some of the larger 5th wheel RV frames.
I base my post on a opinion you probably do not want to fool around with the full size 5th wheel now that you have taken off the double axle and have plans for the single.
A receiver hitch ring on the rear will go very well back there.
The long frame might give you a room for water tank to feed your RV plus a nice APU/Generator to feed everything.
The more I think about this the more I see.
Keep us posted. I wish you the best of luck!Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Tha
That's my excuse too. It's 93 with 92% humidity! An hour of work on the truck after an 8-10 hr day is too much for my old broken ###tommymonza and Bean Jr. Thank this.
