Thanks! I'm on the final push before winter hits. Hopefully this winter I'll be able to stick the engine and transmission in the shop and go through them, like I planned on last winter lol.

Engine will likely get overhauled. At a minimum it's going to need 6 cylinder kits, bearings and several oil leaks fixed. I'm expecting it to need a reman head but I have no qualms with re-using the old one if its not cracked. Transmission is more than likely ok. For sure it needs a new tower and isolator and it won't go into deep reduction. I mainly just want to open it up and see if there is anything inside to be concerned about.

Got these drilled and installed. Still need to drill holes for the air drier and tanks once I start to piece it back together.

Keep it up! This thread almost inspires me to bring a 90s truck back to life, but then put it to work. Maybe one day.

Its fun. There are times when I wonder if I bit off a little too much considering the only original parts are really going to be the cab and hood. Helps to break it into small tasks that can be done in 2-5 hours and just pick away at it.

Ultimately I want to drive it to my 10 year highschool reunion. So about 2.5 years to finish it.

Holy crap! I don't feel so bad about not having your energy. My 10 year reunion was in 1990. I feeling much better about my projects pace .LOL
