I'm out and away for work. Hopefully by the end of summer I'll have the back end finished apart from wiring and hoses. Put those in when I get the cab bolted back on.

Up at the ###crack of dawn today. Hot wrenching the last few parts from the donor snip. About two dozen holes left to punch in the truck frame and the structural part of the ### end will be together.

Measure, measure, measure! And when you've got it, measure 2x more! Just about punched the holes for my upper shock mount an inch too far back lol.

Got rained out before I could mock up the rearmost crossmember. Got all the suspension holes drilled on both sides though. Also managed to install the forwardmost crossmember and inserts.

DDlighttruck and Dye Guardian Thank this.

Pilot drilled them with a small bit and then put a reamer through each pilot hole.

What's a reamer? One of those cone shaped bits?

Its kind of like a drill bit except its tapered and the flutes (spirals) on the sides cut the pilot hole bigger as it turns. It actually kind of pulls itself inwards once it starts to bite in.
