That's what I always say to my mechanic friend who's always #####ing about how horrible they are. "Just set it on fire and leave it to burn, the DPF will try to do that anyways".

I'm partial to a white motor in a Paccar product myself. I almost painted my 91 motor white while I had it out but it came yellow and original won the battle. Somewhere between 86 and 91 they changed it but not sure where

Built to their specifications. I wonder if that's why mine is 375hp when CAT doesn't list 375hp for the 92U prefix?

I never learned much about the CATS because they never quit!. Most I ever had to do was crack gelling injectors. This '89 fullsizeoutput_1a1.jpeg I had was equipped with 3406 400 air to air. 3:70 15OVER:D
It was on display at truck show in Toronto when it was purchased. Last truck I ever drove that did not have air ride cab

Well it's before mine too. I remember seeing an ad in a magazine around Dad's shop. Something about 425 CAT 13 speed eaton fuller and maybe 3.70 rears.

Nowadays it would be an mx13 with a 2.70 rear for that 1000rpm hillclimbing. According to some people anyway....
