Welded the new corner brackets in today. Didn't do too bad welding horizontal and uphand, even though its been years since I last tried. A DC machine beats the crap out of AC.
Only a couple pieces left to weld on and that should take care of the fabrication work out back.

Sounds like doing mechanic work. Get it almost together, then you have to take it back apart because you didn’t do something right.rollin coal, 34kw, Albertaflatbed and 5 others Thank this.

I wonder why its so dark in here?
OldeSkool, Albertaflatbed, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -
Well I got the brackets for the rear wall structure to tie into tacked in place as well as the ledge for the plywood floor to attach on to. This will probably be it for the next week or 2. Too cold to weld much with the doors open and forecasting down to -32°C a couple days next week.
Besides, I doubt they'll want to sandblast outside in the cold either.OldeSkool, Albertaflatbed, Feedman and 2 others Thank this. -
These clecos work wonders. 10/10 must have for dealing with panels. Saves having to buy beer for friends to come over and help.

Those look like a good deal. I've never used them but if you're putting on skin by your self they would be the ticket!

I don't see any other way to align panels. Once a lockbolt or 2 get installed there's zero chance of realignment if the holes are misaligned. This way I can put 30 or 40 clecos in and not have to worry about the alignment of the holes 4 feet away.
I guess I could always use small bolts but that would add a lot of time to the job. -
I have put in several hucks at a time and duct taped the heads to the skin so I can go inside and pull the rivets by myself. I think clecos would be more accurate for alignment.

Anybody ever convert their air wipers over to electric? I don't think it'd be very difficult to mount two electric wiper motors up under the dash. I just really don't want to deal with air wipers.
