    Even if they are paying you a per diem you still get to right that per diem off at the end of the year and it's $56 per day times 80%. 56 x .8

    You can figure what the per diem write off would be at end of year and subtract what you got paid for per diem, and if what you've been paid is less, then you can deduct difference.
