    paper bowels?

    Are they at least dixie or hefty? You don't want a mess if they tear open when holding something other than edible items. ;)

    With all the napkins at truck stops, why ever buy paper towels? I bring a big package of toilet paper for those random, middle of freaken no where problems, but I never buy any types of paper products at a truck stop.

    Most food items come in packaging you can eat out of. Besides, you can always use reusable dishes, and wash them in the truck stop, or just wipe them down with wet wipes. Ahhh, the wet wipe... No trucker is prepared without them things. lol

    Numb Thanks this.

    I buy these in bulk on Google Shopping. 12 packs of 5 for less than $15 usually including shipping.

    Yeah, good point. I have a sturdy plastic plate and dish with a steel perring knife, spoon and fork. A $2 container of disinfectant wipes keeps em in good shape.

    But think about it man, $15? A $2 roll of tinfoil that does the same job (except you have to form it to the oven interior), has lasted me Months! Maybe I'm just a cheapskate like that...

    @Wolfen; @djtrype

    What type of oven are you guys referring to? The lunchbox ovens, or something else I don't know about yet?

    Sidenote: How long does it take those 12v ovens to heat up and start cooking?

    Good thing that trucks come with low-voltage alarms! I would hate to be a rookie and wake up with a dead battery in the middle of nowhere!

    I guess you really wouldnt need to run the cooler during the night anyway as long as you didnt open it up too many times and remembered run it for a few hours on the road each day. Is that typically what you do?

    Salad lover here myself...i generally try to eat one a day with either lunch or dinner. I'm rather surprised to hear the salad and croutons stay good for two weeks in the freezer bag inside the 12v cooler. I would have figured the lettuce would wilt or the croutons would get soggy!

    Squeezing as much air possible outta the bag before sealing it up (with anything for that matter), really helps it stays fresh longer.
    I keep my croutons separate tho.

    NOTHING quite annoying as a soggy crouton!
