    Hello everyone,

After researching and reading everything I can about truck driving and CDL classes,requirements,ect...I've decided I'd like to take a CDL training course and begin a career trucking. I have a few concerns, primarily that of the safety aspect of being a younger female driver out on the road alone. I'd love to hear some input from other drivers, stories, advice, tips, whatever. I'm 25 and smaller built, was wondering what precautions need to be taken whilw driving out alone, most especially when you're a new trucker.

I look foward to your input and advice :)

Hi Nightwind and welcome to the forum.I am a female and drove 8 yrs otr solo.Right now im local because my mom got sick but plan on going back otr.I never had any trouble out there.Sure you'll get guys that hit on you but other then that you won't have trouble. You just park in well lite places like trk stops. You can't be scared out there otherwise you're not going to make it as a trk driver. You'll probably be getting traine with a mega outfit which means you'll see your brothers and sisters(truckers)everywhere and many of the places you deliver to that'll look out for you.So you make this exp fun an you'll do just fine out there.

    Nightwind8830 Thanks this.
