When you give notice that you are leaving who do you get the call from your fleet manager/dispatcher or from someone in the drivers relations department.

Do they try to convince you to stay with the company?

I told my Fleet Manager that I was gonna put in my two weeks, he tried to talk me into staying then handed it over to his boss. He also tried hard to keep me. Even said that if I leave it won't look good if I try to come back. I never thought I would want to come back. But did think of it, then when they got rid of EZ-Pass and some other crappy rules that hamper the driver I said forget that.

My FM was unfortunately on vacation the week I put in my notice so I called the Team Leader. He tried to keep me there by threatening to burn my DAC for only giving 12 days of notice instead of 14. Real classy. I drove out the rest of my time like it was any other day just the same.

Not surprisingly TMC has decided to take as much money from me as they can before they don't have my money anymore. They have deducted $180 from my last two checks in total for comchecks that "were not properly filled out". This is why losing EZPass was so critical, it opened the door for this kind of abuse. $70 was for two straps because even with weeks of notice they failed to get me through a terminal to get bad straps swapped out and I needed them for a load. The rest is tolls. Now I have to mail in all of the receipts (which I do still have) and supposedly they will fix the problem but I should not have to deal with this BS. I was an adult and held up my end driving out the rest of my time following their rules no claims all on time delivery no load refusals and they insist on being childish. I think I am comfortable at this point saying TMC is a bad company. I was really hoping it wouldn't come out of my mouth but there is only so much disrespect and abuse you can tolerate. On the flip side, I'm a week deep in the new job and everything is going great. They are letting me keep my 8 years of company seniority so I will have 3 weeks of vacation next year instead of starting over at 1.

Yeah. They screwed me out of quite a bit of money when i left as well. It's funny how convenient it was for them.

They charge you for their tolls.. Freakin' priceless. That should be illegal, shouldn't matter what's filled out or how it's done.. Just ridiculous all the way around.

Good to hear things are working out for you and sounds like a better company over all. Yep TMC rapes your last check for crap. They did it to mine as well, some of mine was justified but most was to me just wrong. I am surprised they didn't send a bill, or maybe if I went back to work with them they'd tack on some extra deductions like you left and came back fee.

They tried to do that to me when i quit the first time, and then rehired. Claiming i owed them over 800 dollars because they never bothered to cancel my health insurance and some other crap, plus i was having an extra 50.00 a week taken out for my school loan and they somehow continued to take that out but it never got sent to the school.

It was quite funny. I went and spoke to the tuition reimbursement lady (with a good friend of mine there as a witness) and we squared it all away, she also reinstated the payment on my school loan while we were standing there.

A year later i get a call from this collection agency claiming that the bank that financed my school loan was filing suite, because the bill wasn't being paid. Nothing was ever sent to my home address, no attempt to contact me in any way shape or form.. As far as i knew, TMC was still paying it every month like they were supposed to be per my contract.. Somehow or another it just abruptly stopped.. A few months after i called them out on it and they began reimbursing me at the rate of 150.00 per month on my check they found a reason to terminate me, lol.

The best part of all this is that this was a YEAR later.. and they claimed it was my fault for not "letting them know" I was back.. Um, hello.. i've been dealing with you idiots for over a year.. you put me in a truck.. you made me sign paperwork when i was rehired, etc.. but you diddn't know i was back? Please. Like they would accept "I diddnt know" as an excuse from me for screwing them out of their money.

I'm still debating going to court over it, it's bullcrap that it's now on my credit report and that i'm paying what should've already been paid with my unemployment check each month. But they will just claim that "I diddn't let them know i was back" and probably get away with it scott free..

The more crap i read on here the more upset I get with them, the longer I don't drive for them the more i see how wrong they are in so many cases.
