CAT Scale reweighs are $2 now, we weigh live poultry contract grown and it has to be a printed ticket per USDA rules, some places we use CAT, other times, there are other scales to use. There is a maximum distance you can run from empty to loading and back to the scale. Costs $12 to weigh a load of chickens now on a CAT scale.

They started out below 9.50, I can't remember if it was $8 or $8.50 when I started driving trucks in 2004, reweighs were a buck until the first weigh got to $10.

CAT bought out Interstate and put their printer in if the scale met their specifications, otherwise a whole new scale, this was about 3 years ago, maybe more.

Flying J used to have their J Scale, but there are none of them running anymore that I know of.

I remember when Cat scales were 7 dollars and showers were 5 dollars. Yes its 2 dollars for reweighs everywhere I have been. My company was using comdata to pay for the scales, but said comdata was charging them to much for the transaction so they went back to the reimbursement. I didn't know about the 24 hr reweigh thing. Can somebody give me a second yeah on that.

    Now here is moral question.

Is it a 24 hour reweigh if it is a new trailer and new load?

I have pulled three loads a day out of one shipper. The Petro clerks know me and wonder why this was not a reweigh?

I think the only catch would be that CAT would most likely not honor their guarantee if the trailer cited for being overweight did not match the number printed on the ticket.

I didnt know until I heard the clerk at the 4K truckstop in San Simon, AZ tell a driver that. He was getting an empty weight and was going to need to rescale after he loaded.

    Dinomite Thanks this.

When I started driving in early 2012 the cat scale was $9.00 then went up later in year.
