Probably the guys there will load them two by two all the way unless you ask them to load one two one two to space them out. No common sense.

Don't move the truck!!!
They have the pallets in sideway or even pinwheeled. When I load a refer I allways single in the nose then a double straight in then pinwheel the rest. If your load is 29000 then have them spread the pallets out all the way to the doors. There is no way you should be over ANYWHERE with 29000GITRDUN45 Thanks this. -
hey Ez. How the new Job and truck?
-
Since the OP said her fifth wheel was in the farthest rearward position for both weighings, as well as her tandems being at the farthest forward position,
I would definitely move that fifth wheel forward where it belongs and move the tandems far enough rearward before they rework it,
to have some room for any further weight transfer, if needed.
Otherwise, she'd be at a dead end again, if she had to make some minor correction to any axle. As it stands now, she can only move weight in the forward direction.
Anyone disagree?rank, FatDaddy, DoneYourWay and 2 others Thank this. -
It sound like they originaly loaded the nose 1 pallet in the front, followed by two they're after side by side.
Then like idiots they changed it and put two side by side in the front.
You might have them load two one infront of the other ,right behind each other then two wide all the way back. You had about another 5000 pounds to work with on the trailer axles. as far as shifting weight goes.Last edited: Nov 12, 2013

^^^This is the correct solution. Enough with the 5th wheel slide talk. The trailer is loaded front heavy. The only solution available to have the shipper reload the trailer.
And for future reference for others that may run into troubles, someone teach OP and any other rookies how you load a box. Geeez!
"But they wont reload it."
Sit there at the shipper and call your dispatcher. Stuff like this will really hurt you timewise and moneywise. You'd better figure out what went wrong.DoneYourWay and KW Cajun Thank this. -
I loaded once in NJ and had to drive almost an hour to get the weight. The paper place said their scale was broke. It turned out to be over loaded and I went back. They refused to reload.
Simply told them it was my truck.
They would either make it legal or take it off. -
What happened?
-
They called the boss at home. It was 1 in the morning. He was pissed and refused to reload it.
That is when I told them to tell him it would be reloaded or removed. He said he would call the broker and my company. I said do whatever you want. The truck is mine. It will be done one way or the other.
It was reloaded. I was paid for the trip out to the scale and back. -
Sounds like good advice to me. Will need to move a little more weight aft to make for sliding the fifth wheel though. Not sure the OP knows how many holes (or notches) = how many lbs. Maybe better just to get this trip out of the way and then reset everything. But then what do I know.....I pull steps and double drops LOL.KW Cajun Thanks this.
