To many stories going around even about the big companies. But it seems like more drivers are successfully at bigger companies. I'm still learning, so far it seems like the bigger companies are the way to go. I guess I was after more pay and a lease so I left JB Hunt. It seems like they wanted to keep me as a company driver. Only after I left did they offer a lease and i was with another company. Also ran into bad trainer at one company that pulled a pin on me and I had to hand crank a loaded trailer. Been through some stuff but still in it to win. 4 years in

Low pay bad management within dispatch . Bad routes with low pay listening to dispatch saying routes i was given pays. Doing math now and refusing loads. But not much better. Going back to old cdl job but its hard labor but it pays well. About $2100 to $3500 a week. Waiting for call letting me know equipment is ready. Left because of family problems.Opus Thanks this.

@9jgf9er You've been a member of this forum for 3+ years. We have new threads almost daily about how bad most of the "foreign-owned" companies are. You had the perfect opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others but didn't. I'm not sure if you just didn't read the Bad Company section or if you thought you could beat the odds. Now, like many others, you post a thread trying to warn others. This thread will not be the "be-all to end-all" thread. There will be plenty of others who come on here after the fact to warn others, just like you've done.

Impossible - its state law. They have to tell the truth. The whole truth. And nothing but the truth.

Obviously we're not talking about Illinois are we ?

I heard Illinois was the best place to start your career as a self employed trucking business owner. They pay on a 1099 and offer you a truck with no money down! What could go wrong?
Last Call Thanks this.
