One that always stuck with me, a JB was rolling into a truckstop not doing anything wrong and over the CB " Here comes JB , the Ronald McDonald of the trucking industry" I about fell out of my truck laughing.

    So are you, actually....

aarp membership requirements - Google Search

    The important part:

Hello, I made the mistake to lease on with a scammer company (Serbian owned and operated) called Leader freight systems out of Indianapolis, IN, but orientation office in CHICAGOLAND (ALSIP) I am O/O power only, after moving 3 loads with them I decided to quit, they only offered me cheap paying RPM loads, when I told them that I was quitting they shut down my fuel card, I was still on a load and hundreds of miles away, I had to use my personal credit card to get fuel, I completed delivery on time and dropped their trailer in their yard as they told me, I worked there from 8/31/23 to 09/07 23, they sent me 3 different settlements trying to charge me for 2 weeks of trailer rent, eld, insurance, escrow, etc. today is 10/04/23 and they have not paid me nothing, no answer calls or emails. if your are O/O stay away from these thieves.

That sounds familiar. Last two jobs I work on I haven't received my last paycheck. It seems most of these foreign-operated companies are barely staying above water. It seems like their revenue comes from not paying their drivers. When given the opportunity man will lie, steal and cheat. Seems like they are upping their antics, getting braver and more confident about their negative ethical behavior. It also seems like I'm being watched more for being a good citizen than they are being watched for committing unethical business practices. They will be allowed to continue so all I can say is stay with an American-owned company and one that is well established. Stay away from companies ran by foreigners in Chicago. Most drivers don't understand the seriousness of what's going on in Chicago, and especially the new drivers. New drivers need to be aware of the laws at their disposal that they can utilize when they are abandoned and not paid. I was almost left homeless trying to make things work out there and then was insulted by another member of this forum and told that I don't have what it takes to run a business. I replied because that remark was a tear down but no one seen anything wrong with that. No one deserves to be treated like trash but some will sit there while it happens and won't say anything about it until that person replies. But I'm back on track with help from friends.
