My name is Jerry Parker, I was employed by Western Flyer Express On august 27th , 2011. when I first got hired. I had to do my own orientation because DOt was there auditing western Flyer Express. My truck that I was issued was a ragedy piece of equipment. Today is Jan. 17th, 2012 and I'm still presently employed buit in the process of leaving because I lost both my house and family due to Western Flyers defaulted equipment.
When I did my road test, I tested out in truck 831. I couldn't change gears because the clutch was badly worn, but they made me do a road test and then issued truck #831 to me permantly. On August 28th, 29th, and 30th, I spent these three days in the hotel in oklahoma City. Oklahoma because the truck #831 had broken down and fumes were coming in the cab, and while I was in the hotel, I not only lost money but I didn't get compesated for their defaulted equipment.
On December 19th, 20th, and 21st of 2011, my truck broke down in Henderson Nevada. I lost wages while my family suffered a financial lost because once again, western Flyer didn't compesate me for breakdown pay.
On Dec. 29th, 30th, and 31st, my truck #831 broke down in Albuquerque, NM, and I had to spend three more days in another hotel and my family suffered from lost wages because Western Flyer Express didn't compesate me.
On Jan. 4thy and 5th, my truck broke down again in Tennesee, causing me to go into another hotel for two more days. Once again, my family suffered from another financial setback because I get paid every two weeks.
On Jan. 10th, 11th, and 12th, my truck # 831 caught on fire in Charlotte NC. Causing me to go into another hotel and my family suffered another financial set back.
western Flyer Express pays you bi weekly and forces you to stay out three consecutive weeks. They advances you $300 weekly, but out of your advances, you have to pay for tolls, and other expenses. you may / may not get reimbuirsed for all paid expenses.
ON Monday, Jan 9th, 2012, my wife called me and informed me that we had an " EVICTION" notice for Friday, Jan. 13th, 2012. All I could do was informed Western Flyer Express because I was on the road, and I had lost alot of money due to faulted equipment. After informing them, nobody chose to help. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, I asked Western Flyer Express for help. Nobody helped me. On Wednesday, Jan. 11th, 2012. Nobody chosed to help me. On Thursday, Jan. 12th,2012. Nobody chosed to help me. I then infoprmed them That I needed to go home and take care of my family problem.
On Friday, Jan. 13th, 2012, after I demanded to go home in Las Vegas, Nevada, my wife called and informed me that our home had gotten locked up by the Marshalls and our vehicle was towed. I informed Western Flyer Express, and they told me to go and pick up a load that was 3 hrs away, and when I get back, they would help me.
I went to Gayle Brown, whom everyone called " Momma Gayle, and told her what was going on. she asked me to follow her to Richard Lair, whom is the safety manager and the one to hire and fire you. Richard Lair asked me to step out of his office and go to the breakroom and He would come and get me. After I departed Richard Lair office, He called my dispatcher Jerry in and Jerry's boss Carlon in his office, then me. It was then that I was informed I haven't ran the expected miles and I owed the company $800. I informed them that I haven't ran the expected miles because of the companies faulted equipment, and I owed them $800 because of the two $300 advances I pulled down to support my family.
On Friday afternoon, after my family got evicted, they loaned me $750. Although It was far too late, I took it and a load to California so I could take my wife the money, in hope to get our house back.
when I made it to Las Vegas, I discovered that my six children were split up in several households, causing my two teenage daughters to be separated.
Bottom line is, we lost our home and family were and still are split up due to Western Flyer faulted equipment.
I'm presently on home time, and looking for another trucking company that I can establish a relationship with and I don't have to worry about losing my home nort family ever again because of my loyalty to a trucking company that care less about the welfare of their drivers.

In closing, Upon me being hired, gayle Brown Told me face to face that I would get a " TWO CENTS" raise upon completing my 90 days and 35,000 miles. That was easily done because Western flyer Express allowed you to run illegally as long as you match your fuel with your fuel stop. Although I met their expectations, at the end of 90 days, I didn't get a raise.
