just curious here, why do you hate Rutherford so much? 98 percent of what he talks about is common sense basics.

He is nothing more than a snake oil salesman who's only interest is getting into your pocketbook. Nothing more than a late night infomercial. If you need someone to teach you common sense in trucking, please get out of the industry.

 

snake oil? what is so snake oil about proven technology such as low rolling resistance tires, aerodynamics, slowing down to save fuel, speccing a truck to make money vs look cool going up a hill.
as far as only interested in lining his own pocket book, what is wrong with trying to earn a profit? isn't that what we are all driving a truck for? to line our p ocket book? Or do you haul freight for free?

I listen to him and he has some good ideas. He is a little to much of a one size fits all kind of guy meaning that if you're not getting 9 miles to the gallon you're an idiot. Not everyone is pulling around light loads on the same route everyday.

My biggest problem with him is how he pushed the Turbo3000d so much but now its not talked about. He goes on and on how he only uses products he tests and that give proven results. What changed?

I questioned him about it on this site awhile back but he wouldn't answer.

 

Blue bearings, air tabs, turbo 3000 to start....... Again if you need some talking head with no real otr experience, who has never leased onto a otr carrier or even held an MC authority to tell you basic common sense..... Please turn your keys in.

 

I've called in to gently disagree with some of his views on politics/economics & taxes (I have some issues with the so called "Fair Tax"). He can't seem to handle any dissent, he just cuts you off, rants for a minute or two, then goes to a commercial.

I think he really does a lot of people a huge disservice by encouraging them to become o/o's on total shoestring budgets. He's actually doing the entire industry a disservice.

He doesn't seem to have the words- I don't know- anywhere in his vocabulary. He tries to answer everbody's question even when he doesn't know what he's talking about.

And yes, pushing the Turdo 3000 was a huge credibility crasher IMHO

 

He was advocating buying a truck that costs as much as a timex watch and then buy all of his BS books and products to be successful. Now he his doing a glider that he is hawking to the clueless.....

 

If you guys stop feeding the troll, he might take a hint that we don't buy his stupidity by ignoring him and will go find somewhere else to spread hate and negativity.

Arguing with him only brings you down to his level.
