This is just my opinion but most of our families left the old world for a reason.I suppose it just in our nature to take everyday work things and try to make them fun,in short I think for better or worse we in North America have evolved in a different direction from most parts of the world and are often crittically judged for it. With respect to trucks and trucking I have seen some interesting things from other parts of the world and do understand the restrictions that they are faced with but feel that is thier problem. It is clear that alot of them do not like what they can't have and yet they still watch what the Americans are doing. I was at the MATS and saw alot of people there from all around the world....I wonder why????They come buy our parts to dress up thier trucks and sometimes even buy our trucks....why? The pictures posted were nice but compared to sledge hammer???It doesn't seem you could hook a trailer to either of them trucks,looks like only one even had a fifth wheel. Let them say what they want,they know where the really cool stuff comes from.When is the last time you compared your 379 or W900L to a MAN or SCANIA?????Why would you?
It's the christian religion thing in some of the countries, that should sound good in american ears. Religion is the reason why I break those rules.
Why is that? I hate automated gearboxes. And when is Scania offering a real enginebrake like Jake Brake? Retarder is too complicated and it overheats in long downhills.

Do you try to use higher revs for example 2000+ rpm when use retarder this should keep oil cool? Scania philosophy says:engine is used to haul not to break I also prefer the manual gearbox ( we have construction trucks ) and i love to hear sound when you shift with double de-clutching and when you hit the accelerator pedal in neutral ..... -protection of transmission of driver abuse ( i am not sure is there any driver who can be careful with 3500nm) -economy -comfort -ease of handling -dose of luxury -competition provides an automated transmission in this class as standard equipment ( all actros including xx 60 v8 man tgx v8 volvo fh16 700) but still 560 is my favorite dc16 engine (best heard -most similar to the original 14-liter)
