Savage video, did u make it? Where was it? I wouldn't like an American rig coming down there, you would still be there

opticruise is good investion only 1750€+965 for new one or 965-385 if you already have hill holder

    but i still prefer manual

    and i will always

especially for those off road conditions

thing i most hate on opc is sound of engine while shifting especially if you have open exhaust it sounds like air come from system something similar
i have never heard new opc without clutch maybe it could be nicer

I still miss Volvo's I-shift and there 16l engine. The same trip in a Volvo may have got it to 37l/100km. Those v8s are on my mind high on fuel.

This is where I drove. http://maps.google.se/maps?saddr=Rv86&daddr=69.36652,20.12336+to:Torne%C3%A5,+Finland&hl=sv&ie=UTF8&sll=68.991894,18.28125&sspn=1.083208,4.938354&geocode=FdhMIgQdKuQEAQ%3BFfhyIgQd4A4zASlVIXlgJzTFRTGOJNlPuFzuDw%3BFSDD7AMdaXNwASlhR-trZTjVRTFILlSdC2EqlA&vpsrc=0&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=8&via=1&t=m&z=8
The trip was a lot longer but that is the most heavy part.

My average in a fh500 i-shift last month (10100km) with loads about 15-28ton was 29,8l/100km according to the dynafleet. 17% coasting. Allways on the limiter when possible (it's summer :) ) Never would have got a v8 down to those numbers.

for these roads draw bar trailers are better ore b-double. US rig can be used on this road but with european trailer only. European COE truck will not pass this U-turn with US 48' trailer.

We opereate US and EU trucktors and trailers here and I know how extreme is meneuroability of european trailers, but in this U-turn it is so easy to crank tires from rims. but the weight distribution of US trailers is much better for tracktion so for winter use US trailers are better.

Liftable (right word? not that good in english) first axel on the trailer is the answer. Quite typical here. Lift the tagaxel and the traileraxel and you can get quite good pressure on the drive.

pablo i notice that you call doubles (semitrailer+dolly+semitrailer) b double that is not correct and here in our part of world this is illegal

US rig can be used only without trailer ......on those norweigan roads

i think he want to say that it is easy to by torsion remove tires from rims because of 3 axles on same place
