I think we should make a distinction between U.S. trucks , and Australian trucks made of American parts..... this is not same
as I am aware, Scania offers from May 2008 cooling for extreme
climatic conditions
edit : september 2007
11-blade fan optional for V8 vehicles operating in very hot climate.Last edited: Apr 21, 2010

There's also a cooling pack for 200ton heavy haulers but that's propably very expensive.

Problem is, I don' see single Owner Operator from EuroOParadise here. Thats probably why we talk about p.u.s.s.i.e.s
-

btw have you seen scania r730 v8 6x4 on bauma in munich rated for 180tons
and there are even 192 tons in itally but only up to 560hp/580 e3
and 200 ton for australia -
Are you blind? Or maybe they want to make money and stay in Europe(especially at the moment). A friend of mine tried to start there as an owner operator a while ago but they were too scared about him and didn't give a permit.

What? Do we have European O/O in this discussion, or just drivers - my question is
-
We were talking about powerfull scanias so i spoke about south italian hauling fruit, but they are just few companies, we all respect the rules, i am writing from the truck stop, i drove 9 hours today and i am gonna rest 11 hours tonight.

when i was hauling iron i drove at 60t many times up and down the mountains and i never had problem, truck hauling concrete and gravel in italy are legally allowed 56t and they come and go from quarryes up in the mountains mostly off road:

technology gives us a lot of advantages, i use to come down the mountains at 60-65kmh when i had only the jake brake, now with the intarder i come down at 95kmh fully loaded whitout touching the brakes once.
Of course those that drive at over 120kmh do so when going flat or uphill, but slow down coming down the slopes
