Why?Get a 3406e cat take it to Pittsburgh power and easily get that horsepower and you will have more torque,a straight 6 has more stroke then a v8 which gives you torque which is your pulling power.

Might be a little tight. I remember when Mack came out with the 440 and 500 V-8. That was a very big bad dog back then. I got to drive a couple of them and they pulled like crazy, but didn't have an engine brake

Always wondered how the European trucks get that much power from the factory when we're pretty much limited to about 550, give or take. Must be something to do with their emission laws or something?

Their top power output is definitely impressive for an emissions motor at 730 hp/3500nm(2581 ft-lb) torque. Looks like a rather wide motor, as well as having the majority of the accessories at the back of the motor. Good for cabover, nightmare on conventional chassis.
Even if you're in the EU and have a place to source the motor, why on earth would you want to cobble it into a 13-letter manure spreader? -
