Anyone know of a scanner where I can do injector cut out tests at home? I also don't want to spend a ton of money if possible. Maybe like under 500 if that is even available? It could be old, new, used. I don't even care if it only works for an N14. If you know of anything I appreciate it.
Scanner for a N14?

For just cutouts, you could unplug the passthroughs. Often though, you can tell a change better standing further back.
My son was using some sub 500$ handhelds from Diesel Laptops. They would do much more thsn you're looking for, but would be helpful for multiple trucksKruse Family Farms Thanks this. -

Maybe @DUNE-T has used one of the cheaper versions. I think he has or had a N14Kruse Family Farms Thanks this. -

Definitely handy, but not practical for most.
BTW, keep an eye out for oil in the pass through. Common issue that can lead to intermittent symptoms. They hardly ever get replaced, and are easy to overlookLast edited: Jan 21, 2025

Usually I just unplug harness or use a temperature gun to measure exhaust manifold on engine startup to see which cylinder is colder than othersKruse Family Farms and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.
