    Sorry for your loss
Truck driving will get u out of the house
But for being scared of heights im VERY VERY VERY SCARED OF HEIGHTS TOO i tend to close my eyes when im scared . My company run 38 states and i have to tackle the appalachian mountains to deal with. Funny story i was on way to Pittsburgh pa one morning i broke my number one rule is NOT TO LOOK DOWN i did big mistake i closed my eyes but i remembered i was driving and i had chest pains because i scared myself lol!!! It took me couple hours to calm down. If i can drive and scared of height so can u. Just don't look down keep eyes on road like i do. :yes2557::biggrin_25523::biggrin_2554:

Drive in your climbing gear, Put on your climbing shoes and helmet, hook your keys in a Carabiner, screw some climbing holds to the steering wheel, change the shift knob to a ice axe don't look down and don't go over that bridge Giggles posted on there.

I went down in heavy snow once but chained up in a May truck full of Coors beer.
Lots of times when just slick, took it plenty slow.
This pic is from the Dead Man Pass rest stop at the top of cabbage hill.

There is a road in Portland, OR, I think.
It is a 'skyway' - an elevated highway that is several hundred feet up.

    Just, don't look down.

Remember....it's only high skinny roads with no railings that bother me...not bridges. No problem with bridges...

Funny! I may try that! Except bridges don't bother me...only skinny high roads with no railings!

From one widow to another........you have already lived through the hardest thing you will ever live through. Driving a truck is a breeze compared to that. Don't sweat the small stuff.

34 years of marriage.... Multiple Sclerosis...then respiratory failure. I was a loner before we got married and thought once I got past the emotional part of this I'd do fine being alone....it ain't workin' that way! I may sell the house just to ditch the painful (but good) memories.

I haven't ran a ton and am still new, but I have yet to encounter high and skinny together. Skinny - sure. High - sure. Just not both at once.
