Scared What to do??

    Dad retired. Social security he drives pt. Plus my brother has cp. We have a mowing business and now trenching and cable. I hope i get out soon. I love trucking since i was old enough to walk. But its not what it was in the 90s. If i get out only way i wanna come back is if i can buy a truck out right and do it for enjoyment and extra money maybe lowboy or step deck.

    That's what I plan on doing soon - retiring . The SS checks are already coming in but I can make $15,000 a year and get full SS benefits . I'll have my $15,000 in a couple of months and that's it for this year .
    Don't know what I'll do next year but it won't be pt for this carrier . Maybe dump bucket in construction.

    Yea. Well you have flatridge and miles transport in your back door. Thats what he is doing 15000 a year. Plus if whoever you work for will lay you off. You can have unemployment on top of that.;)

    Unless you have all those things, and an older truck, for CA. You can haul in, if you got a waiver, but you can't get out.
