i'm not proud of it but unfortunately it wasnt the longest "day" i've worked i did a 39 hour stint about 2 weeks before that that when boss was on vaca and i had to pick up his slack. i was stupid for doing it but i was new to the industry and i wanted to impress. when i left him i went to a different trash hauling outfit and it was go go go but i was able to keep it under 100 hrs a week (old habits die hard) and still bring home over a grand week.
now that im flatbedding i'm pretty much all legit now 70/80 hrs a week and everything is logged unlike before where its very easy to make loads go *poof* and i make 1100-1200 take home. -

or was it about 3yrs ago, driving across wyoming all along the shoulder because the road was a sheet of ice
or was it driving thru Penn, by Tuckahana, during a 15 min blinding snow squall
or was it the other day in texas, driving along a 2lane and a truck coming at me, i had to swerve almost in the ditch
none of this is including my 24hr loads from years ago. i swore i would never do those again
you get "life flash before your eyes" moments often out here -
