Landstar just pulled our load from an agent. How and why does this happen? Agent's pissed, we're pissed and now I have to scurry around and get hubby home.
Scheduled for a load, Landstar just pulled it. WTF?

Loads can be canceled for a number of reasons. We had a load cancel yesterday due to the consignee not having electricity in New Jersey. Sometimes, the shipper finds a truck themselves or another carrier could have placed a lower bid. The product may also not be ready. There is no way to tell for sure.
truckfam Thanks this. -
Could also be the shipper's credit went bad. There are many reasons.

Exactly!
Maybe the customer/shipper was obligated to do something for Landstar corporate and they failed to do it. Like pay an old invoice. -
G/MAN, you follow me around like a bad penny. Thanks. I just get tired of seeing your name, even if you're always right.

Could be Landstar moved it with another carrier at a lower rate. Happens every day . Even at Landstar.
tirexpress Thanks this. -
I agree with all of the above comments, Many reason as to why a load can get cancelled. Did anyone offer you anything else that may have been available? I know when loads get cancelled in my office and I already have a carrier on the load I scramble to find the carrier something else even if I have to reach out to other brokers, and specially if the carrier was headed to the house

That's why you should get a security deposit .. The reasons for cancelations matter not, if you were booked on the load it should be treated the same as if you were under the load..scumbag agents & brokers..the fee do to this should cost more than what the load would have paid...Agent SCUMBAGS..
tirexpress Thanks this. -
