Yes. Stick with it, ignore the naysayers and complainers, mind your Ps and Qs... generous retirement and stock option plans, VERY well paid higher up, international opportunities...

If you wanna get out of Texas the strasburg Ohio yard is a good choice. Its close to the pa-wv side and a very nice part of the country. Lots of Amish around the area, good people

Cementing is a pad job, they'll bring the towers , and the airslides to the pad, and if they don't unload u will. Then go move it out of the way in stageing.easy enuf but they do want someone with at least a permit. SLB is a fair company, definitely worth it. By the way , you will get raises and vaction time after 9-12 months

Other than the oilfield you never really hear em called airslides. I like how slb has the silos instead of the big clumsy lay down bins

Yep, when i left Midland and went home and hired at a penumatic tanker outfit, they'd give me the strangest looks for calling it a airslide!!

And you might not even be loading a lot of jobs. Just going out with the pump crew to pump it. I worked for a 3rd party company and we unloaded the airslides into the silos.

Slb loves using 3rd party to move their equipment around. You won't be doing much driving. Im not sure about other locations but in Ohio and horseheads ny yard 3rd party did about 85-90% of bulk transport

So tomorrow I have to take my DOT Physical and Drug screen. Gonna pass both so safe to say I am pretty much hired. They are gonna send me to their driving school in Tulsa, OK for 11 days to get my CDL before going out into the field.

The Schlumberger school outside Kellyville, OK? That's where I went in 1984.

Yep! That's the one. I'm sure it hasn't changed much other than the usual changes in schools such as the technology used.
