Did a lease with JCT for a year. Then left them as well.
Now I've bought my own truck, helped with the income and maintenance knowledge from leasing.
Signed on to a small carrier for a few months to practice dealing with brokers, but they wanted to reduce at the end of the year so I left. Now I have my own authority, just waiting on the trucks license plate to come in the mail and I'll be heading out on my own, working off load boards.baha, mjd4277, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's the way to do it. I have also heard about guys getting dedicated customers and bypassing the brokers. Hopefully you can weather whatever this storm is and come out profitable. Rates are often bad now, but that's a cycle. Rates will be good again, but that will also be a cycle.mjd4277 Thanks this.

Yep, post xmas cooldown for a month or two. Undoubtedly facilitated by current events extending it, but it is what it is. Mid spring volume will probably go up due to summer approaching, then come end of summer is the holiday season. Maybe I can upgrade to a reefer trailer by then, but next year is more likely.
mjd4277 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
Smart man. Specialization is your friend.

Lol most politicians can make themselves sound pretty good, too. And we see how that works out.mjd4277 Thanks this.
