Been with Schneider two yrs so far everything is good. I worked for maverick a little while before coming over here. Tanker is much, much easier than flatbed. Hometime is what I like most about Schneider on the bulk side u get to choose the days off. Much easier to get home for anniversaries and birthdays. Would be happy to help any body that is thinking about Schneider or just going to tanker.
schneider bulk two yrs great so far

i'm curious do they still do the big deadheads to the tank washes like they used to and have the outback trips like they used to I work for them on the box side in 1999..
-
Schneider tanker is what I'm most likely going to shoot for when I get my CDL
-
Did you like Maverick? I live in Cleveland, Tn and I'm looking at them.
-
I've went from north los angeles to Houston empty. Usually you don't that long of a run but empty and loaded miles are paid the same
-
Hey if you're getting paid then empty or not doesn't matter much imo

I wouldn't advise flatbed, they will tell u home every weekend but you will never know when or if your getting home until that Friday and your work assignment is sent to your truck. They would allow 150 miles out of route to get you home. You have to bust your tale tarping and chaining. usually on your 10 hr break so you will have enough hrs to get home. weekends at home usually mean 34 hrs , not Friday night Saturday and sunday. I live in McMinnville ,tn about 80 miles north west of chattanooga

ineedajob , driving can be very demanding, usually its the easiest job u will ever have but can turn into a nightmare very quickly always have to be on your toes. If u decide Schneider let me know ahead of time, i'll turn your name into recruiting, i'll give u what little advice I got no matter who you choose.

Jerry...thanks for your post. Looking to get back into OTR after retiring from the military in May and having a hard time deciding between SNI Bulk and Maverick, who are at the top of my short list. Pulled vans for them for a few months in the 90's and while they didn't make me rich, I felt like they were a decent company.

I have 7 months experience hauling reefer and dry van but i have all endorsements and want to make the leap to tanker. Is schneider bulk a good fit or should i look elsewhere with my experience?
