I might be out of my league here but about half of what I do is is SNI logistics cross dock freight out of the east coast ports. I'm on choice running preloaded freight but SNI owns the cross docks and also loads independent carriers. If this is what you are referring too I have some knowledge of this. If you are willing to deal with the ports it pays well.

    On line. Landstar website.

You can do it on smart phone, but not recommended. You do it in a group of like 8. And the dudes with the smart phones have an awful time communicating, lots of echoes and feedback. Although dude said they were working on a smartphone app just for webinar, this was 6 months ago, so maybe they have it now.

The carrier program is basically the choice program with your own authority.

Dealing with SNI logistics brokers, not a dedicated load board? Interested myself. Like I said it's really my bread and butter anyway. interesting. Have some homework to do. I have always heard of this program you were just the first I have seen ask. The freight pays me 3 bucks a mile on 200 miles in the south and that's on choice .

No load board. SNI logistics brokers. Still I would think you could do well running out of Chicago. my experience has been if you see a lot of rail containers there's great short paying loads nearby. But all I know is east coast. I will say I know for a fact the money is there. Having to deal with a SNI broker on a regular basis...not so sure.

I've talked with a guy on the program. my details are limited but as far as I know the pay is much better same load running batteries to ft Wayne pays choice board around 400 or so on that program that particular load was around 1100.That was 2 years ago so I'm not sure now.

Also not allowed to get fuel from OCS unsure if you don't get a discount at other fuel stops.

Dispatch is handled through a Schneider broker they call offer you loads. Back then the guy I spoke with ran paper logs no clue if Schneider requires that now or not.

Also he ran the Midwest mostly Illinois to Indiana hope this helps

Actually, reading more about the program, they now use a 3rd party load board and pay in 2 days for a 2% discount or on 30 days with no discount. (That's from time they received the signed BOL)
I tried following up yesterday, but again the extension went straight to vm.

According to their website, they're offering a $.15 discount at TA & Petri and some other small discounts on tires and such. You have to be using an approved fuel card provider for the discount. Comdata, EDS, FLEET ONE
