Thank you for the reply, that’s cool they give both the option of a reimbursement or paying it for you and letting you work it off. If you would be willing to give an update on your phone interview after it happens that’d be greatly appreciated, and if you find out anything more about the specifics of if they’ll only do it with certain schools, or if they’ll only pay up to a certain point. I know as far as reimbursements some companies will only reimburse up to a certain point.

I started with Schneider back when they had their own on site school. Best training ever. I ran first year for peanuts but gobs of miles. I left after 3rd year because the more I made per mile the less miles they gave me. Even so it was a great place to start.

Schneider has a great training program no matter what anyone else says. I don't think they are a long-term company but they will get you trained well in that year you are there.redsox508 Thanks this. -
I just wanted to update everyone on this thread. I just got off the phone with Schneider and it was a waste of my time. The girl told me the only school they can send me to is in Ohio first of all and second of all I not only have to find a way out there but she said i also don't get paid while training for roughly 6 weeks. She also said I'd need money for food and other expenses. Is she joking? I can go to roehl if that's the case with only needing to find a way there but then they pay for my hotel and food and also pay me while training.
So basically any wonder why Schneider pays for your school its because you have to pay for everything else. Stevens transport is the same basically told me I don't get paid while training there either so looks like its gonna have to be Roehl. It's just unfortunate because maybe if they paid me while training I would have just bit the bullet and saved money for hotel and food but making me do all the above is just absurd in my opinion sorry.Last edited: Apr 25, 2018
patsy Thanks this. -
They send you to a school they have a contract with and not always in your home state. If you leave in the first year (FOR ANY REASON) they charge you the full price of the school. Any company that makes offers more than that are going to treat you like crap and pay you crumbs. -

Not to mention Schneider training is only a week from what I heard. Any wonder why you hear about Schneider drivers getting into accidents and not knowing how to drive a truck lol
