I wouldn't worry about company policy first you are not home your wife and kids need you to be on the phone that's the only way they can know how you doing and now the company the company say no talking on cell phone when driving just they don't care about your family and my family first and the job is next i can live without the job but i can't live without my kids and wife. Jb hunt say no talking when driving i talk all the time and 24/7 if i have to as long as i don't let it affect my driving i can be texting and dot cops passing me at the same time i did that when i first started crazy lol.

Company policy to wear the work boots also. But I've seen allot of flip flops in the south at OCS
-
And as long as the driver doesn't wear his flip dlops to his annual recert very few will say anything about it.
If a driver doesn't call in to schneider while driving he can call anyone he wants and not get in trouble (provided he's not in an accident).
It's all common sense. -
PITA to pull over? Before cellphones we had to find phone booths and sometimes had to stand in line and wait to use it. Some drivers you couldn't see in the booth because he was smoking a cigarette. Perhaps 60 days of phone booth searching will cure you?

You have it made and just don't know it. -
True. That's what I am saying. We lost a good driver and a good human being. It's easy for those to say "he deserved it" when they don't even know the driver. It's also pretty cold. All I'm saying is. CYA....not a debatable subject.

i remember the days of having a phone card to call the wife. "Honey, I can only talk for 3 minutes ". Those days sucked!

Sitting in truck stop dealing with the smokers haze ask the waitress for a phone she'll bring the cordless over. Wish we had wipes back then. Those phones and pay phones were nasty. Flying j had those booths you could step in to use phone. What a time
