Well, technically by DOT standards, you are only required to log one inspection per day at 15 minutes. It's pretty much accepted that a pre-trip should take 10-15 minutes and therefore if you were on paper logs you would log 15 minutes pretrip and nothing for post trip since a post trip should take no longer than 5-7 minutes. You'd just flag the change of duty status and go straight to off duty at that time. Since Schneider requires us to log both pretrip and post trip, I'll log the minimum amount of 5 minutes since a post trip really should never take 15 minutes.

I was informed during my annual, I was doing it wrong. And needed to log 6 minutes minimum.

You just know it's gonna happen. -
Even when I was on e-logs at Schneider, I never post-tripped for more than 4 minutes. It would show no official time on line 4, but I would manually type in "4 minutes" in the comment line. Never had an issue in almost 18 months.

Who do you have as a DBL? I am doing the same type of slip seat driving you are and then flying back to Florida. The truck I got was clean, just smelled of smoke. Since I don't smoke it drove me crazy. Spent every day wiping the interior down for the first week. Got my first hometime this week.
