this is a major bone of contention with me. Having to call in to be able to work? This seems to happen more with support shift, which more often than not isnt very supportive. Unless their definition of support means waiting on hold for 30 minutes or more and rarely responding to Qcomm messages.

well what fun, picked up my load in Sumner, WA heading to Woodland CA, 40k. Got to the nearest scale, and the trailer tandems are 650 pounds over at the 41 ft mark for CA. Drive back to the shipper, they tell me to drop the trailer and bobtail out, they will call dispatch when it is reloaded! So here I sit 1/2 mile down the road at the Sumner Intermodel/drop lot waiting for them to reload the trailer, with no ETA for when they will be done, and there is NOTHING around here.

At least I am told I will get detention from the time I arrived at 0630 this morning.

Look like this say $800 for truck n insurance then roughly 2500 miles u drive that's low ball your fuel bill is roughly $1500 plus other misl stuff they deduct they pay like .95¢ or so a mile plus fuel surcharge you will have maybe $400 left from your check if your lucky. And drivers choice isn't much better. They pay % of the loads u choose. So in the end tour no better then a company driver. Yea u have more freedom but more responsible. You will have work way harder u take a few days at home guess what your truck payment still due. Truck in the shop for a week u still need to make those payments.

Man you're like a killjoy lol stop with the negative energy bruh that same 2500 miles a compay driver drives is different I'm sure with choice lighter loads with shorter runs that pay way more than .90cpm here's what ill do I will post how much I bring home I bet I still earn more money with less miles busting my ### driving 10 hours a day as a compay driver then I do in the choice program

If it was me I'd get a truck with a $400 week payment. My dad was a oo for 30 years bought his truck no lease. Easily did 200k a year. but after all that was paid taxes for self and truck social security disability no health insurance to costly he may have made 30k. Last year i made 58k here and didn't have any head aches to deal with. Would I like to try and b a oo sure but i would to have a life also. I turn 40 in 4 months I prefer to keep my grey from taking over.
