"at" appointment of 01:00, and I'm going to the Sam's Club next to the Walmart that was listed in my work assignment.

Now, since I was right here at my drop for +10 hours before my unload, my HOS on my machine still has me on break. Can I just stay on break here and have that time count towards my reset? Or does the fact that I unloaded mean that I HAVE to log some on duty time? I suppose I do have to log on duty time since I have to move my truck, huh?

Or, better yet, maybe I should remember that I gain hours each time I take a DOT break, huh? So with the one I just had, and this other one I'm just starting, I should have plenty of hours to work with. Duh.

Oops, I gain hours each day as days fall off my 70 hour clock, I meant. Yeah, that's it, lol.

Per diem is non taxable cpm. The bad thing is come tax time your return is drastically reduced. Get out of it as soon as you can.

A tax return is an interest free loan to the government, except for the part they give you for free and you don't earn (earned income credit).

The smaller you can make it the better it is for you...meaning YOU use it instead of the government holding on to it for you for a year and giving you ZERO interest.

Doesn't it seem like YOU would make better use of the money than leaving it in a HOLE in your yard until sometime next spring?

Per diem puts that money in YOUR pocket instead of the government's.

This is YOUR opinion. Like many others WE opt out of Per Diem for a reason. YOU don't really see a huge reflection in your pay with PD. I like many others look forward to a nice return.

I've got 9 cases of watermelon Arizona Ice Tea that were refused because the pallet collapsed in the center and the packaging is screwed up. Waiting to find out what to do with them. Maybe I'll get to keep em.
