The Gary truck wash is a joke, and a waste of time. Seriously. All it does is rain on your truck. As for the Sirius antenna, I just have it on my dash - taped onto the bracket holding my unit, actually. It works just fine, and no need to route wires around the truck.

    Mine is governed to 64.

I talked to the mechanics a month after they put them on mine because the zipper was stuck he said that he hated them and they didn't need to be on any trucks so he took them off and trashed them for me

My operations manager asked me where mine was since I took them off. I told him that I took them off to wash them and just never did put them back on. He didn't say anything... Just asked and raised his eyebrows. I still haven't put them back on...

They are supposed to increase fuel mileage by a small amount. Keeps air from getting caught in the wheels and disrupting the flow around the Truck.

The aren't that bad to take on and off if they are clean. Some drivers are lazy though so they never remove them and dirt builds up in the zippers and then they can be near impossible to open.

Also a good idea to keep the "windows" on the covers clean to make it easier to inspect the hubs. If you do that, you'd be one of the few. I always did, and got an "atta boy" from a DOT cop during an inspection. Good idea to at least open them at least half-way every couple of days...do it during a live load or unload. Makes your life easier....and you'll be doing your job.

And do I hear correctly that SNI is now equipping their units with that #### "OnGuard"? We have it at Crete, and it's not terrible if it works right and is adjusted correctly. Mine has been OK....but I've heard some horror stories.

Funny you should mention this - I took mine off today. I had ripped two (the fabric around the zippers) when trying to open them this morning and ruined them, so I took them all off. I trashed the two trashed ones, and stowed away the other two. I'm glad to hear others have taken theirs off ;)

I think you have mentioned this before (somebody did) and I took that advice. Well, until today when I went ####### with 'em and took them all off.

    48Packard Thanks this.
