Schneider is a good company.....my SO has worked for them for almost a year and so far no major complaints. Hes got a great DBL who goes out of his way to keep the wheels rolling. The biggest complaint we have is that they will not allow the drivers of company trucks to have what is necessary in their trucks to live comfortably and economically on the road. If a driver is willing to purchase his own power inverter in order to run a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot, why wont they install it in the newer trucks? I realize that an improperly installed power inverter is a liability, but if they are professionally installed, then there should be no problem. Drivers get paid little enough as it is, but the expense of truck stop living eats up any money a driver earns. The company is making money on the labors of the drivers.....let the drivers do what they need to do to keep some of what they make.

Would be so much better if they would just install APU's. Problems solved plus the driver can actually sustain him/herself on the road with food from home and a means by which to prepare it.

I would consider that a major complaint, one that I had issues with as well during my time there. It becomes a question of how much a driver is willing to put up with, and that will vary from person to person. I think it's funny (and hypocritical) that they will allow inverters for CPAP machines, but will not allow even small plug-in inverters to help power some devices.

...though I'd wager that many drivers carry small inverters anyway. To be real honest...I did. I used the original inverter I was issued with my first of two CPAP units to power-up other items. I'm using it now as we speak.

Actually they did away with power invertors for cpap. Any one on old units is being upgraded to the new S9 machine with 12volt power block.

I've had my S9 since January, 2011, so I'm aware of that. But that old inverter sure is handy!

Sitting here at Goodyear in North Carolina with another SNI driver...

We have BOTH been here since about 16:30 and have the same destination...

Too bad the plant is on some kind of "quality control shutdown".....
