Tomorrow is going to be fun. Truck stop here is a sheet of ice since it's been raining freezing and sleeting all day, Bt 3 miles to pick up an empty, then dh 30 miles to p/u load. Drive 100 miles to Syracuse ny where they've gotten approximately 18 inches of snow today and drop a relay, then p/u a relay and take it 40 miles for an unload.

They was detouring everyone off the turnpike going east at route 53, which runs you down to route 20, so if anyone was running northern ohio on route 20, I am sure they would've been affected running through some of the towns that you would have to run through. Especially if had to pick up or deliver at whirlpool in clyde.

Well, this morning I found out you can actually get nailed with a hard braking incident without even using the brake lol

Dont have onguard. Pulled out of customer lot with a load of pallets. Snow packed road, accelerated up to 7th gear doing about 23 or 24 mph, there was a tiny hill that I went up. While pulling up the hill my drive tires lost traction and started spinning. My tire/speedometer speed increased to about 30mph. At the same time my actual road speed was decreasing because I was going uphill. When I let off the throttle and regained traction the speedometer instantly shot down to 17 or 18 mph, hence a "hard brake", my "speed" decreased more than 8mph in one second, even though I never even touched the brake pedal lol

I had that happen about 3 times in one day. I was pulling off the shoulder and hit a patch of ice, spun tires, caught the pavement and boom hard braking alert. It happens.
